XML-RPC broken? Can't install packages.

It seems that I can't install any packages with the PEAR installer. Things
worked fine yesterday.
$ pear install File_Fstab
No release with state equal to: 'stable' found for 'File_Fstab'
I'm using PEAR 1.3.2, as shipped with PHP 4.3.10, both from Debian sarge
packages.
Here's the wire dump of the session between the installer and pear.php.net:
