should really ask on pear-general,
nope, there's no method to do this at present, it's a pretty edge case,
and quite easy to implement in your own wrapper or util library...
something like...
$keys = $do->keys();
$fresh = DB_DataObject::factory($old->_table);
$fresh->get($do->toValue($keys[0]));
$do->setFrom($fresh);
