Hi devs,
what's the current status of Validate?
A lot of bugs have been closed since the last release (2004-03-17):
http://pear.php.net/bugs/search.php?search_for=&boolean=0&limit=10&order_by=
&direction=ASC&cmd=display&status=Closed&bug_type=All&package_name%5B%5D=Val
idate&php_os=&phpver=&assign=&maintain=&author_email=&bug_age=0&bug_updated=
0
(ignore the first one)
So maybe it's time to (at least) release a beta version (maybe even stable
if PEAR allows jumping from alpha to stable). I think that a lot of people
are scared off by the "alpha" tag. I've been using the 0.4.1 release
successfully in a lot of projects and would really like to see a new
release.
If there is demand I would be happy to write unit tests for the current CVS
version.
I remember that some weeks ago it was discussed to split Validate into
different packages. What's the status with that?
Any comments are greatly appreciated!
Best regards, Torsten Roehr
