Since the Validate package provides validation methods, I think it would be good to have it (or a sister package) return lists of valid data that could be used in a QuickForm or other. (snip) What do you think?I think it's a good idea, though the final word on countries/states/etc probably belongs in I18Nv2. IIRC, it also has the names translated into different languages, which solves the l10n issue.
We might want to spin of those things into separated packages like we are doing with Validate so people won't have to install the whole thing just to get one part of I18Nv2, and of course I'm not talking about splitting it so we have 1x package per locale :-)Validate also does country-based validations, so maybe the 2 packages are on each other's toes for certain things? Maybe Validate should provide a wrapper around I18N? -Philippe
