I would think that leaving the copyright and not credit him self would
be the ethical thing to do :-)
It's not very hard to see it's a copy/paste with function name altering.
I'm not sure BSD license allows that (sajax having that license least
time I knew)
Just wanted to bring that up since we were on this topic :-)
