Oh no, I'm not so young :-)
I still mantain the PHP_Fork package and (very little, mea culpa)
stephan's Net_Server package. I'm in Pear since 2003, so the list
discussions are not a problem for me.
IMHO the point is that having an Ajax implementation in pear is
urgent, since this is probably the way to go for web applications.
This is the _only_ reason I made HTML_Ajax; as I previuosly said I
don't think my code is the best, indeed I like Joush's coding style
and I'm ready to delete my proposal and go voting Josh's one.
Definitly I'm glad to have raised the Ajax brainstorming into
pear-dev; we got many good suggestions (like the API abstraction, the
nice behaviour.js library, etc ) and we smoothed the road to a
widely-accepted HTML_Ajax.
