Thanks for the reply. I can understand this position.
I believe there are advantages to having PEAR accepted frameworks,
though I realize the competition around them can tend to generate
code-as-religion sorts of arguments.
I figured this was the case to some extent when I submitted WASP for
comment, however I was hoping that maybe someone might notice its
strengths as a well designed lightweight implementation with solid
utilization of existing PEAR packages (although, admittedly that is my
own opinion, and I am indeed somewhat biased).
