Hi,
ok I have finally added a test for autoincrement and it seems to run through for mysql, mysqli, sqlite, pgsql and oci8 (though there is still something fishy with oci8 as it needs quoteIdentifiers() applied .. maybe oci8 doesnt like identifier quoting unless you then always use then for everything?)
I have also done the changes necessary to move away from MDB2::isManip. So we are now using exec() and an optional 4th parameter in prepare(). On the note of prepare(), we dont need the 3rd parameter if the optional 4th parameter is set to the non default value. So maybe we can combine the 3rd and 4th parameter in a sensible manner?
singature of prepare:
&prepare($query, $types = null, $result_types = null, $is_manip = false)
- the 3rd handles the types of the result set
- and the 4th is just relevant of you set it to true, meaning you dont expect a result set
Anyways we need testing with ibase and mssql. I expect there to be issues with the autoincrement test with mssql, as IIRC mssql requires that a value for the autoincrementing columns is set, whereas in the other drivers we can omit it safely ..?
regards,
Lukas
