one more question .. We have separated indexes from constraints, though within the MDB2 schema format they are still handled through the <index> tag. primary keys and foreign keys are constraints what are unique key/indexes? i think they should be in the constraints category, which means they should be entirely unavailable through all the index methods (createIndex(), dropIndex(), listTableIndexes(), getTableIndexDefinition()) .. right?right, UNIQUE is a constraint. OTOH, the dbms also defines an INDEX. For consistency, since we've already moved PRIMARY KEYs, I'd move UNIQUE indices as well, as you suggest.
