Obviously at one point or another xml-rpc might need to be extended.
But I just like the general approach of total simplicity that SOAP seems
to abandon (probably because Microsoft wants to easily bind SOAP to COM
and IBM wants to easily bind with ..).
Anyways for WSDL that is only a side issue.
From my understanding the phpedit people do generate xml.
Obviously during programming I do not want to have all sorts of clutter
(there the phpedit people have a huge advantage since they also have
their own editor .. they could just allow you to hide comments
specifically directed at the help generator - Manuel maybe you should
talk to them about MetaL support). One of the main differences with PHP
and WSDL is that WSDL does expect type information. But all docu
generators support that anyways (I assume .. I honestly haven't worked
all that much with them).
Anyways WSDL would not be the view I would want the human to read. Its
XML but not very readable imho and definitely not newbie friendly. But
since its XML (and quite complete at describing as you can also fit
humand readable documentation in there) it would serve as a great basis
to generate something that is meant to be read by humans.
