Versions of PEAR/PHP in the wild

Today I was wondering which versions of the PEAR installer people are using. I thus took pear.php.net's access log files for yesterday (9/5/2006) and scanned them for REST-requests that stem from the installer. The result is pasted below. What's good is that most people are running fairly new versions of the installer: The vast majority runs 1.4.11 or 1.4.9. The numbers for the other versions are rather neglectible. BTW: There were only 6101 requests on that day stemming from the old 1.3.x series of the installer. This is even better news, because it means that only very few people are still using the memory-eating XML-RPC server. But what I find most interesting is that more than twice as many people are using PHP 5 than PHP 4. I had not expected this and given all the buzz about the slow adoption rate of PHP 5 I'm happily surprised by this number.
