Just tried to download this to test out: 1. downloading Image_Tools-0.4.0.tgz ... Starting to download Image_Tools-0.4.0.tgz (18,003 bytes) ......done: 18,003 bytes ERROR: bad md5sum for file C:\PHP5.1.6\pear\data\Image_Tools\package2.xml I did an upgrade and tried again same thing.
I got the same message even I tried on a local tarball, I don't know what is meant. I tried to package it over and over, but still got the same message. Anyone have a clue for this?
2. Homesite is giving a 404 http://schlitt.info/index.php/content.projects_image_tools
Yes, I just removed it. It doesn't valid anymore.
3. No end-user docs in this package. and no http://pear.php.net/package/Image_Tools/docs/0.4.0/ API docs?
I guess the API docs it doesn't generated yet or because checksum error.
Did something happen with the upgrade you just submitted?
Not sure, nothing wrong I did.
Hi Firman, Actually, the problem is that the script you use to generate package.xml does not ignore package2.xml. Please pull the 0.4.0 release and re-package with 'package2.xml' added to the list of ignored files. You can see the mistake at http://pear.php.net/rest/r/image_tools/package.0.4.0.xml: Here is the offending line: <file role="data" baseinstalldir="" name="package2.xml"> <replace type="package-info" from="@package_version@" to="version"/> </file> What this is doing is packing up package2.xml, but then all of those @package_version@ tags are replaced with 0.4.0, causing calculation of md5sum to fail because the contents of package2.xml are different from what was on disk. Oh, yes I did it. Thanks for the clue. I will re-package it. Could you please open a bug for the pear website that states "release upload validation should check for presence of package.xml inside package.xml" Should be package2.xml inside package.xml right?
No, there should not be package2.xml inside the package.xml. If you want to package with both just do "pear package" with both in the directory. Neither should be listed inside the other as a packaged file. -- Justin Patrin
