And, most of all, it doesn't include the server part, which is
available in Stephen and Victor's original version (which is not
mentioned in this one).
The file I downloaded had no server but then again I guess I was looking at the wrong place. The server issue is an important one of course.
At this stage I would venture to say that Dietrich Ayala has put in an awful lot of work into his php classes and has taken a lot time testing his classes against industry standards. I feel like his code should be in PEAR and not mine. He seems to have taken pretty much the same approach as me (maximum encapsulation) but still relies on a few global variables. Best of all he has a full test harness. I did not see any license on his code or web site but I would volunteer to do the following.
1) Get in touch with Dietrich and see if it's OK to use his code as the basis of PEAR SOAP.
2) PEARify his code so that Stig does not have to.
3) Contribute to enhancing the code to be able to do more.
Does this seem like a reasonable approach to everybody?
