Hi, ok i did pear convert. i rewrote the package2.php and moved the final result into package.php now things package and install .. however i noticed that the tests and docs do not get installed .. eventhough they are defined in the package and are in the tar.gz file too. regards, Lukas Hi Lukas,
I've just get a fresh pear cvs copy of MDB2, and built a tarball. I've installed all files including tests and docs with your package.xml 2.0 version without problem. My platform : PEAR 1.4.11, PHP 4.4.2, P_PFM 1.6.0b5 check if your test_dir, doc_dir is well defined $ pear config_show BTW, to avoid on packaging step, warning message : Warning: Channel validator warning: field "version" - major version x in x.y.z m ay not be greater than 1 for any package that does not have an <extends> tag Gregory Beaver , gave us already the solution (when i asked him for HTML_Progress2). Add in your package generator script , after line $package->setPackageType('php'); this line : $package->setExtends('MDB'); regards Laurent
