Re: CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: elections for PEAR Group

Hi everyone, Greg Beaver has encouraged me to return from my self-imposed expatriation to run for election as a PEAR Group member. I believe that the sources of PEAR greatness have less to do with the code in the repository, and more to do with PEAR standards and techniques: * the coding, naming, and structural standards * the packager/installer * the channel system These are things that can translate across all PHP projects, and I think PEAR is in an excellent position to popularize them throughout the PHP programming culture.
