I want to be able to find the "newest" stable release of a package like
this:
SELECT id,version FROM releases WHERE package = 42 AND state = 'stable'
ORDER BY version_sort(version) LIMIT 1
We could use release dates, but then we're screwed if someone makes a
release branch.
