Request to take over File_Ogg

I would like to take over maintainership of File_Ogg. We at Wikimedia (wikimediafoundation.org) have been using my fork of File_Ogg for the last few months with no major problems. I emailed the current maintainer David Grant in July 2007 about the project, he indicated that he wasn't interested in doing any more work on it, and that he approved of the direction I was taking it. I have refactored the bitstream decoder, removed the incomplete and broken encode/write functions, added header decoding routines for Theora, Speex and FLAC, and added some interfaces for extracting generic cross-format metadata such as stream length in seconds. The fork is at: http://svn.wikimedia.org/viewvc/mediawiki/trunk/extensions/OggHandler/PEAR/File_Ogg/ Replace /viewvc with /svnroot for Subversion access. I don't have a PEAR CVS account yet. -- Tim Starling
