I actually thought we had a min vote requirement so that a person gets in, am I wrong there ? iirc it was 5 votes but I might be dead wrong and if we don't already then it's something we should consider if we ever have this kind of situation before. So lets say someone does not met the quota, then they don't get a seat and we'd actively seek for (a) person(s) to nominate them selfs and probably ask some of the old group to sit until a full new group has been formed. Any better ideas people ? I bet there are :-)
I couldn't find anything in the Constitution explaining "elected", so that's why I asked. Personally, I would be for a defacto election if there are <= 7 people who've volunteered for the group, but since that's not specified letting it run its course is fine.
I would think that under certain conditions the nomination period would be extended... And on a related note, the constitution looks pretty clear that there will be, and must be, exactly seven members in this group. But, the part I wonder about is why we cannot vote for 1,2,3 or 4 people but can vote for either 0,5,6 or 7. Regards, Philip .
