Hi Christian,
Hi Laurent, cool :)I've counted 4 votes +1. Does this means project was forgotten ?I did not forget it :)
Either I didn't understood what you're looking for, either you don't understand how PEAR_TestListener work ? I'll try to give a quick summary. Actually , whatever package that have a PHPUnit 3.x test suites available, you have two possibilities 1. run on command line with phpunit command (you have abilities to use all switches) 2. run on command line the PHP interpreter to execute the AllTests.php script file, but you can't use any phpunit switches. PEAR_TestListener (with PEAR_TestRunner) other to combine both best world 1. and 2. If you want to run a serie of test, you can do : phpunit path/to/AllTests.phpI take advantage of the situation to announce that I've no comment on my proposal PEAR_TestListener [1] since I opened it 2 weeks ago. [1] http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-proposal-show.php?id=601So you changed it to be PHPUnit-only - which is ok in my eyes. Just some questions: - In PEARTestRunner you write that runningphp path/to/UnitTest.php [switches]is enough - how that? How does PHPUnit know about it? Is there a cmdline switch you can use for phpunit? - Why isn't there a logger configuration through command line arguments?
--filter <your_filter> --group <your_group>
--configuration <use_a_custom_phpunit.xml_config_file>
But you can't log test suites excecution and results.
To do it now, the same, and add log test suites exec and results, with PEAR_TestListener, you just have to:
php path/to/AllTests.php
--filter <your_filter> --group <your_group>
--configuration <use_a_custom_phpunit.xml_config_file>
NOTICE that "phpunit" was replaced by "php"
If you have configure your loggers in the XML config file, you have nothing else to code (except two lines to change)
No need to add another switch, while we can use the --configuration that do the job for us. We can use the same phpunit.xml file.
If it's not enough clear, did you have tried to run examples provided in proposal. I thinks it could help you to understand.
Laurent
