I'm not entirely sure what I was talking about myself either. I
compiled 5.3 from source - perhaps I have accidentally turned some
setting on. Not sure. I'm at another machine now, and it has no
problems. Sorry for the confusion.
I've attached (yet) another revision without any changes to the mq-check
