Does anyone have a problem if I rewrite Net_Socket using the
"experimental" socket routines introduced in PHP 4.1.0? The goal would be
to replace the existing Net_Socket. Is backwards compatibility a major
factor in this, or is PEAR young enough to deal with it? Has anyone
already started work on this?
