I thought so, too, when I read Bertrand's suggestion. But then I
remembered the large number of discussions on de.comp.lang.php
asking for customized session handlers and the like. It seems
that some users have difficulties in creating and installing
such handlers. It may be useful for PEAR to offer some default
implementations for session storage in MySQL, Postgresql, LDAP,
shared memory and more. Then again, persons not being able to
create such a thing themselves might have problems in using such
classes as well.
