Unfortunately, the batch file doesn't work.
I modify in pear.bat the four variables (PHP_PATH...) to my system
environment, but without effect.
I receive always a "Fatal error" message, because the script is searching
PEAR.php and other required files in path c:\php4\pear. (but in php.ini my
include_path points to "d:\web\apache\php4.2.0\pear", curious...)
Ok, i copied the pear-folder in c:\php4 and then typing "pear" in dos
console, and it should work:)
Then, i thought i can create a test package with "pear package
../package-pear.xml", but i get another curious message
"Validation: 0 error(s), 0 warning(s).
The extension 'zlib' couldn't be loaded. Probably you don 't have support in
your PHP to this extension". But this isn't right!
"php.exe -m" shows me zlib as loaded module.
Archive_Tar() generates the message and first i thought the if block at line
70 was the "bad guy". (On windows the zlib extension is 'php_zlib.dll'
instead of 'zlib.dll')
In the end i make sure that dl() function is enabled, and yes and it is.
