Hm, i'm not sure. If i had more time i take a look into source first before
reopen this bug id.
But the other variables in pear.bat are

The prefix "php" have all extensions in a php windows binary.
Its "php" + name_of_extension + "dll".
This name convention was since php 4 i think, but i'm not sure... (the
oldest release i use on my machine is php 4.0.6, and all extensions use
"php" as prefix...)
