Hi Stig,

I have had some difficulties to parse the | Package | Version | table.
+-----------+----------+
The Apple Cocoa framework doesn't have regular expressions and uses a thing
called NSScanner which scans your lines up to the string you defined. Then,
you can take the result it finds. The main problem is that you can't define
wildcards like in regex. This is really cheap.
CSV or XML output would both be very useful, probably not only for MACOSX. I
have a small preference for XML but it should be very light (not xml-rpc).
If you find the time to add an option to the pear command-line tool to
output xml or csv, it will really make everything easier for future GUI
developers.
Take care,
