What exactly would be useful for rss syndication - the weekly report is just a short summary, with the list of released packages. - hopefully less than 2 hours writing.. - should make translations easy as well..
rss is really focused on headlines on stuff like slashdot/cnn/freshmeat etc. where there are 10+ stories a day..
you can grab the latest packages list very easily using xml-rpc
