Including PEAR.php "per request" should be even possible with the
current PEAR Cache, no? And perhaps there are some possibilities to
even tune the container code?
BTW: Please be aware that PEAR Cache does not perform well for *real*
high-traffic sites. In such a case one should consider using Zend
Cache.
My opinion towards your new package: Why do you want to reinvent the
wheel before having tried to improve the existing solutions? Anyways,
I will not keep you away from contributing, if others agree on your
plan.
