a parse_ini_file function in php but this is probably less efficient. Actually it should be more effecient (faster) or at least the same as php, as it uses the same flex engine, with alot less rules. (obviously see the restrictions on parse_ini_file - filesize is one..)
As of wddx, it must be parsed using the wddx extension of php but this is also less efficient than regular php vars or even php globals. In general, the Config class is not meant to parse a config file on every script request as I think it's done in the Data_Object package but should be I ended up using parse_ini_file - Initially the plan was to use the Config to generate the 'table definitions' inifile - but considering the simpliity I ended up using a few lines of code - Although I may go back to using the Config class (for generation only) when I get round to adding table link configuration.
I can see the use of a new more advanced config class - as some of the config stuff in phpmole is a really nasty kludge (inherited from moleskine). - inifiles are not very good at handling array type data.. although considering the experience I had with devhelp files (devhelp.codefactory.se), even using expat it was very slow parsing these large xml configuration files - I ended up caching the stuff in dba hashtables...... regards Alan
used to manage configuration files when needed. I see it more like something that could be used in a webmin-like application. Thanks for your comments, Bertrand Mansion Mamasam
