Thanks, Michael. The extra verbosity didn't help. No additional
information. If pear can't find Log then there will be extra information
about the download, but otherwise there's no clue.
php is maxing the CPU. I checked the processes and php has no
subprocesses. lsof reports no open files except for the tarball.
sudo pear -vvvvv install Log
+ tmp dir created at /tmp/tmp0v7X8R
downloading Log-1.8.4.tgz ...
Starting to download Log-1.8.4.tgz (29,453 bytes)
.........done: 29,453 bytes
What to do?
