Hi,
I pretty much have PEAR successfully installed, in
usr/share/pear/ (that's where Mandrake puts it)When I try to run PEAR_Info, I get a page with a lot of errors, of which the following is typical: Warning: mkdir(/usr/lib/pear/): Permission denied in /usr/share/pear/System.php on line 249 Warning: mkdir(/usr/lib/pear/.registry): No such file or directory in /usr/share/pear/System.php on line 249 Then appears a table similar to the one created by php_info(), but it is titled 'PEAR Config'. It shows the relevant configuration as being what I understand is the PEAR default, namely
/usr/lib/pear/ etc., etc.But I double-checked, and my /etc/php.ini seems to correctly have /usr/share/pear in it's path statement. So, there's obviously some sort of mix-up here, but I'm not smart enough to solve the problem. Can anyone help me trace the source of this problem? Where should I be looking? Thanks, -- Ron King
