Michael,
Oops, I just got what you meant. The '#' threw me... Pear definitely thinks it should be in /usr/lib, but why? Some defaults I'd say :) Use # pear help config-set to modify the configuration of your PEAR installation and while you're at it, this might help as well: http://pear.php.net/manual/en/installation.cli.phpSorry if I'm abusing the privilege, but I have another question: I have used config-set to change the configuration, confirmed by using config-show. But, if I try to run pear_info() I get the same old errors UNLESS I pass it /usr/share/pear explicitly. When I do that, pear_info seems to run ok, it tells me all the installed packages, but the configuration part at the end still shows the incorrect (default) paths. Where is config-set making it's changes? TIA, -- Ron
