    require_once 'PEAR/Info.php';
    $info = new PEAR_Info($pear_dir);
    $info->show();

?> Is this what you mean? If not, where can I find #pear config-show? I should also mention that I have a windows laptop with pear, and the above script works ok. I didn't think to try it until after I'd written my first message. Thanks for the input, -- Ron
