DataObject_FormBuilder bug?

But I'm going to throw it over the transom anyway. I've built the very simple tutorial example from Markus Wolff's FormBuilder presentation. I've populated my db.links.ini file. My links show up and the select's show up. But FormBuilder refuses to pay any attention to the $fieldLabels, $select_display_field, or $textFields from my DO classes! It's very frustrating: the selects have ID's in them, not the select_display_fields. The labels are the column names, not my labels. And any date fields show up blank: just a label and nothing else. Bah. I print_r'ed the DO, and sure enough the select_display_field and fieldLabels are right there where they're supposed to be. I've tried running with DO debuglevel at 5, didn't see any signs of trouble. I thought, well, maybe I've mistyped something or done something silly. So I downloaded the (fabulous, BTW) DB_DataObject_FormBuilder_Frontend demo and tried that. The problems with this are even worse: any linked fields don't show up at *all*in its table view, and in the edit view the select's are empty. I looked through his code and didn't see any clues why this would be happening. Anyway, I would *really really* like to use this package. If it's deprecated or abandoned, and I should instead be using a different one, please feel free to let me know.
