People, I have a *doubt*. I can to commercialize an application that depends on a package of pear, one framework for example? Ex. My framework use Data_Object, HTML_QuickForm, HTML_Template_Sigma, etc. They are the base (like a kernel) of my FrameWork that it contains another classes (Page Class, PopUp Class, Menu Class, etc). I can commercialize it since that under the license of the PHP, GPL, etc?generally if you dont change the source you can add it to closed or open source projects all you like. if you make modifications then things get more tricky, especially for the LGPL packages. however as long as you make the changes available to the people you distribute to, or the public at large you are also safe. if you make changes and dont publish them, then things get even trickier. lgpl packages will then be offlimits and i am slightly fuzzy about the details of the other liceneses we allow, but i think they might even allow this kind of stuff. regards, Lukas
