... So end-game is PDO as PECL (binary), DB2 as PDO-based PECL (binary), DB and MDB and MDB2 being deprecated, and DBDO as DB2-based PEAR? And we're looking at 18 months for all that? Or am I completely confused? :-) For now I'm just going to use DB_DataObject and DB, since I like DB_DataObject and it requires DB and I really have no desire to hack it to work differently. :-) -- Larry Garfield AIM: LOLG42 larry@garfieldtech.com ICQ: 6817012 "If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it." -- Thomas JeffersonI see...and on top of this DB_DataObject is going to become DBDO, a PECL extension which builds on top of PDO. I'm just so confused as to where I'm supposed to go now. ;-)well #1 DB2 on pdo is vaporware at this point. essentially the idea is that DB2 will add the MDB2 goodies missing in PDO. DBDO has a different aim since its mostly about giving you an OO and not a unified SQl interface. regards, Lukas
