Err some hacks were added in there because I was still trying to work out some issues why stuff wasnt working, when I had to use the cast class to say if it was sql or a date function. I can send my latest changes to you if you like. But as I said before I am getting cold feet about it now and wondering if i should return everything back to DB_DataObject as I dont want to implement a system with a patched class where there is no official release or update for :| And of course I dont expect you to support someone elses project.Understandable. Like I said you can propose it to PEAR if you like and I think you might have a shot at getting it in.
I would like to know however what your plans are, so a PHP5 based DB2 library which uses the PDO ? I would be interested to know if that extension would be stable enough at the time of release ? How exactly does the DBDO extension interact with the db ? using the PDO extension or mysql c library directly ?Like I said I will not take part in any development of PHP5 only PEAR packages due to the exception useage requirement so I am the wrong guy to ask about DB2 specifically. However if the target date of 2006 sticks I am quite sure there will be a stable PDO by that time. regards, Lukas
