I'm not sure you're understanding me here. You do that setting in the
same place you do the DB_DO config setting, hopefully in the same ini
file.
Then DB_DO pulls the options and passes them in (if they exist) to the
DB connect function.
I sure do and its not working, i tried putting the portability and persistant settings in the DataObject config, $db_options is still null
$db_options = PEAR::getStaticProperty($options['db_driver'],'options');
$db_options = $options; //assign $db_options to data_object options array this is where it craps out if i take this out db_options is null
