I tried both DB and MDB ;)
Well your keys probably aren't set up right. DB_DataObject *does* do this.
Umm no i had asked before, how do you access that in the DO then ? if I echo $key or $this->$key I have the key field which is extracted from the keys() method, i am using the proxy=full method, so i have used the standard generator and i dont have the table, keys etc in the DataObject classes anymore. What i was saying is, look around switch ($dbtype) in the insert method, the break was a check for mysqli, therefore when you return $this->$key nothing was coming up because it wasnt checking for a standarsd mysql driver so just added the same code in that block too, unless there is a variable to get that from ? I use this a bit for checking if a value is set if not insert into one DO, get the inserted ID and then insert that into another field of the other DO.
