If the question has been asked many times before... it will be asked many times again. Simply address the situation clearly in the manual to help others that's it. This is not an attempt to belitte the fantastic work done by the developers nor the documentation team. But at times considering the questions repeatedly asked when writing the documentation would improve the quality of the documentation. In the end my goal is to write an application and not become a PHP/PEAR installation/configuration expert. But as you mention I have no other choice. - GlennI also did a google search Justin of my error. Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'PEAR.php' include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') The first result is a Bug Report with no conclusion. The second result is a link to a site with certificate pop-ups Third result requires a userid/password to view the page Fourth example of a login script... etc. Perhaps I shall try Yahoo the next time... wait... bingo would have found it on the first result. It seems nowadays that google is really manipulating the results.I would like to suggest that you start with this resource: http://www.php.net/manual/en and read it from cover to cover, and then come back here. Please do this before posting your next question, as you will discover all kinds of amazing resources and features that the PHP documentation team has been hard at work documenting for many years. PEAR is only intended to augment what is already available internally through PHP. In addition, you might google "php tutorial" to get started. In short, without a basic understanding of how PHP works, you won't have an ice cube's chance in hell when you try to start using PEAR. You may also find the archives of php-general useful, as this question is asked there every few months (a google search of "php-general archives" or a look at beeblex.com should do) Greg This is really getting out of hand.
