Without some real info we can't help you. I have seen *no* problems with the installer, on multiple machines, for years now. I suggest you take a deep breath and start from the beginning. What distro are you on? Did you install via the distro's packages? Did you install via conpilimg PHP? Did you install via go-pear? I suggest dumping whatever PEAR install you have right now (this should be painless, just delete the directory) and re-installing PEAR from go-pear.org since you seem not to want to try to fix whatever problem it is you're encountering. -- Justin Patrin
