Metabase / MDB

Hi all, I've been looking at the Metabase project whilst MDB doesn't have MSSQL support (anybody got an idea how long until it appears?). I wondering how many of you actually have used Metabase and/or Metastorage. I've been trying to contact the author, Manuel Lemos but his email account inbox is full! :-( Is there any plan to get DataObjects working with pear::mdb anytime soon? Does anybody know of any other working/good SQL Query builder classes - I'd really like to make use of one with Metabase/MDB if possible.
