question to installation of Pear under Windows 98

Hello,
I want do install Pear under Win98 and Apache Server
- I downloaded the pear installer in the C:\Programme\Apache\htdocs\php4\pear - directory.
- I adapted the include - path in the php.ini to: include_path
=".;c:\Programme\Apache\htdocs\php4\pear"
Now I read, that I still have to adapt the paths in the pear.bat - file (this pear.bat - file is in
the pear-directory).
I made:
set PHP_BIN=C:\Programme\Apache\htdocs\php4\php.exe
set PEAR_PATH=C:\Programme\Apache\htdocs\php4\pear
but this doesn't work,
do anybody knows what's going wrong?
