When I try to create my schema I get the following error php createMDB.php Error: MDB Error: syntax error info: [nativecode = ERROR: parser: parse error at or near "START"] Anyone knows where this is coming from? I'm using postgres 7.2.1
Hmm, I am very busy atm so I cant dive into this deeper. But I think this is an error generated by the xml parser itself. So my guess is that your document is not valid xml. A good way to debug this would be to simplify your schema until it works. Or by coyping small parts into a new schema until it does not work anymore. Unfortunately we don't have a DTD yet. If someone as XMLSpy I am sure he could quickly generate one for us (*hint*).
?!?! Did you suppress the tag line and column tracking when you ported Metabase schema parser to MDB? In that case he'd better try the original Metabase schema parser because regardless of whether it is a XML error or a schema context error, it will always tell the line number, column number and even the byte index of the invalid tag or data. A DTD could not help much if the error is contextual. Jeroen, you may want to try the original Metabase schema parser from here: http://www.phpclasses.org/metabase -- Regards, Manuel Lemos
