I'm just starting out using HTML_Template_ITX and am having some difficulty with handling errors. I've read through some mailing list threads and they say that the ITX code returns PEAR errors, but it doesn't seem to be working. It looks like it throws all errors into the err array...
Well, ITX was written before PEAR, its error handling is not quite compatible with PEAR's and no one bothered to make it so.
So what is the standard way of checking for errors?
There is no such way unfortunately, short of manually accessing this array. <plug> If you need a template class that is API-compatible with ITX, but has completely PEARified error handling, consider using HTML_Template_Sigma. </plug>
