Ok... so are there any docs or additional info for Sigma?
None right now, but I'm going to produce some as soon as I figure out the DocBook stuff. There are unit tests available, so you can understand how new methods are supposed to work by looking at testcases.
Specificially I was wondering how to flush the cache? Do I have to go into the filesystem in order to do that?
Yes. I don't see any need to do this, though: the cache contains the 'prepared' templates and not data, the files in it are 'valid' until the source templates change. So you will need to flush the cache only in some very special circumstances.
