Yes, you are right. LiveUser would actually provide me the functionality
that I need. I tried to figure out how it works the last two days (by
the way, I am a PEAR newbie). It seems to me that there is some useful
methodes that do not exist so far (maybe they are planed to be
implemented one day) such as inserting a new user.
For my needs a permisson container DB_Simple would be sufficient. But
there is no consistent tutorial on this topic (or couldn't I find it?)
So, I would be glad I someone who uses LiveUser could provide me a code
snippet taht shows me how to protect my site with authentication and
check if the user has rights to access a certain page. Also I would like
to have an example of how to insert a new member into the database. If I
am right, there should be an interface within the container to do so
(Could not find it too).
If nobody is using LiveUser yet, I would be glad to get some advices on
other classes that you use to provide the desired functionality.
Thanks very much
