These are "Administration" functions and live in separate classes. The
thought involved is that it is too much overhead to have addUser and such in
the main class when you don't use them that often.

It does aim at the same thing. Auth is an authentication package.
Liveuser provides a framework for authentication and permissions management.
They are not the same packages at all :)
