I guess it's not hard to get the attribute string created by quickform and assign it to template vars. The designer could then so something like: <{$form.firstname.QF_attributes} tabindex="0" class="myclass" />{$form.firstname.error} or something like that..just an idea. jeroen-----Original Message----- From: Mike Carter [mailto:mikeatwork@ukonline.co.uk]Doh. Monday morning and I'm not thinking straight! Completely forgot that the actual <input ...> HTML comes from the elements themselves. yeah I know. I would have liked to see a renderer that gives the template designer more control. I personally think the form labels, stuff like sizes, style definitions (like class= and id=, or even style="") should all be dealt with in the template They're the designer's responsibility IMHO.-----Original Message----- From: Jeroen Houben [mailto:jeroen@terena.nl] The order of elements in your PHP script may be very different from how they are finally ordered on your page. I personally think tabindex should be arranged in the template. not in PHP code. But unfortunately I don't see a way of doing that.Hmm, interesting idea. Personally I'd like to keep control over it in code but I can see that using a counter variable in Smarty to assign a unique order number as each element is created in the template could work.
