http_webdav_server

hi i tried to set up a 'virtual' webdav server to share our icalendar-files (ics). unfortunately this proof of concept implementation ( http://www.bitflux.ch/developer/misc/webdavserver.html ) needs to install wedav using mod_rewrite for apache. my personal problem now is (of course), that i dont have the right ( mostly on rented servers ) to reconfigure/install mod_rewrite nor mod_webdav. does anyone know a lightweight solution / idea? from my point of view this could be a good reason for some outlook-lovers in small-medium sized companies and organizations to change to ical / opensource products and can probably be understood even on mobile devices. thanks in advance for any hint / share of knowledge.. yours matthias
