everything begin / or being "under /" (meaning /dir1 or something) will always call webdav.php when executed, right? And when you move into a folder dir2 the URL that's called becomes /dir1/dir2 (to my knowledge of webdav). So instead of using / you could use /webdav.php, where webdav is your server-component.mod_negotiation can do this as well. It lets you use files without extensions. For example, /webdav/dir1/dir2/ would execute /webdav.php if the folder /webdav/ does not exist. You could then grab the REQUEST_URI to get the requested path. IMO, mod_rewrite is more likely to be disabled by a host than mod_negotiation, so check to see if you have it. To turn it on, use "Options +MultiViews" (i think) in .htaccess. -- Marshall Roch
